Hanoi Rocks is a Finnish rock band formed in 1979. They were highly influential for the American hair metal scene of the 80s. Motley Crue partied with them and Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses bought their entire music catalog later. The band broke up after their drummer died in a drunk driving incident with Vince Neil behind the wheel in December 1984. But have since reformed with some of the original members, singer Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy, and continue to record and tour today.
